Overall Research Areas
I am interested in three major areas of Structure-based Drug Discovery; In Structural Biology I am involved in solving protein 3D structures using Cryo-Em, and X-ray for Cancer Gene Census and Infectious disease. In Cancer, I am particularly interested in determining the impact of driver Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) on protein 3D structure. In SARS CoV-2, I am interested in determining the 3D structure of NSP-13 with multiple small fragments to carry out fragment linking and merging. The second area I am involved in is Medicinal Chemistry, i am intrested in the synthesis of varieties of small ligands to improve ligand-target potency. The third area I am involved in is Bioinformatic; I have developed multiple biological databases for Cancer and Infectious disease, but I am very interested in developing machine learning tools to understad the impact of mutations on protein structure.
